I have downloaded Google maps for my phone a couple of weeks ago, but I need to know if the program uses internet usage when you get on it? You see, I want my mom to get it on her phone, but she doesn't want to use the internet cause of the extra fee's we have to pay, so I told her that I would look into it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thnx!

Yes it does use data usage...so is really only suitable for people that have bought internet time.
