I am thinking about getting a Nokia n95 from ebay. There are several cheaper versions that do not include GPS and wifi for cheaper. If I were to purchase this phone and download Google Maps like I did with my WM6 device would it work? Or do you have to have the gps software on the phone in order for any GPS to work?

no.. google maps isn't a satellite navigator;-)
Reply:i think you need the gps feature on it. The gps feature gives you live direction i think.
