because google earth was invented in america.
On google maps why is there street view for america but not for britain or anywhere else for that matter?
The street view data (the 360潞 pictures) are available in other countries, so either they started with the US and the rest will come later, or there are legal matters ike privacy law, whis is different in every European country.
Reply:They are still building it. Right now it is only major cities in the US.
I assume they haven't done the rest of the world since they haven't gotten there vans around everywhere yet.
