In my school there is this boy who goes to google maps... and well can you guys help me!!?

Like i was saying there is this kid in my computer class that i always see him in google maps and you can see the streets and like if you were actually there! Its amazing... well to me lol





anyways i was wondering how does he do that...

Go to Google Maps.


In the upper left hand corner theres the zoom tool. There is the Orange person over it.


You drag and drop it to where ever there is streets highlighted in yellow.


Then you see things in "street view" just by doing that. It's pretty cool its like actually being there. They dont have street view for the whole wold yet, so type in a popular city like Los Angeles or NYC.

Reply:Hi there I don't think it is google maps which you are referring to. There is google maps but you are saying that the boy can see the actual aerial view of any location around the world. These are actually satellite images that are transmitted.





If I am correct, the boy uses Google Earth. Google earth is a software and you need to install it before you can use it. It gives you an aerial view of any location in the world including your own street. But the best part is that google earth is free to download and use.

Reply:Google Maps (and others such as Yahoo and MSN) offer an Aerial view. This is a photo image of the map you're looking at.





You can also download Google Earth, which is a very cool tool for looking around the globe. But you'll probably have to do that on your home computer. The basic Google Earth is free.
Reply:Go to google and then on the top click on maps. When you are their, click on the place you want to go, and then click on the little yellow guy and drag him to the place you want to look at.
