My business was number 2 on Google maps but has slipped down to 30+. We are bang in the center of town and identical businesses next door have much better rankings. What can I do to change this, it is keeping me awake at night!

Did you do something in the past day? Something like that can affect your ranking. I remembered one time i voted my own site in Google search wiki.
