When does google maps update the satellite pictures?

According to google, They update their mapping data that is older than 3 years old, They even have a form which you have fill in to have specific sections of the images updated.

every year google maps and google earth update the main parts of the world like paris and london. every so often they will update the small parts of the countrys.
Reply:On a rolling basis as and when new images become available (about every five years for any given region)
